ELVINE was founded in 2001 by Swedish street artist Daniel Mänd. The brand is named after his grandmother Elvine Mänd, a talented seamstress from Estonia who fled to Gothenburg in the 1950s. Inspired by the city's unpredictable weather and strong working-class spirit, ELVINE designs robust, functional jackets for urban life. Daniel, who grew up in the Gothenburg suburb of Kortedala, wanted to create something of his own that reflected Gothenburg's raw street culture, but crafted in his grandmother's tradition. That's why ELVINE offers casual, uncomplicated clothing with a touch of elegance and a perfect fit for relaxed city life.
