The Waterkant Store is coming of age and celebrating its 18th birthday!
It all started in 2006 in the west of Hamburg, in the heart of Ottensen, when the doors to the newly opened Waterkant Store opened for the first time. It all began with a simple idea: out in the morning, in in the evening - no matter what weather we encounter in between, it must not ruin the day. Whether traveling by car, train or bike, on a walk during the lunch break or on a morning walk with the dog, followed by immersing ourselves in the hustle and bustle of the city - constantly changing clothes is not an option. We needed an outfit that could handle everything.
A lot has changed since we were founded. The product range, the store, some employees, the street in front of the store, even the climate! Everything is constantly evolving, adapted to the times and new trends, just as the needs and demands of our customers change. We have accompanied many of the small labels we started with back then on their way to becoming well-known brands. Others have developed in directions that no longer suited us. And we are always discovering new brands that are waiting to be discovered by you.
We are incredibly grateful to have been able to run our store in Ottensen for so long and to welcome both loyal customers and new faces. We still enjoy showing you the most beautiful new items and favorite pieces or supplying you with tried and tested classics... and we have been doing this for 18 years, it's amazing. Waterkant is leaving puberty behind and confidently entering adult status.
This must be properly celebrated and we must toast to it!
We'll provide beer and alcopops, you bring everyone you know or don't know. Please only smoke in the kitchen by the window and if no one comes to help clean up tomorrow, otherwise mom and dad will give us hell...
